Advent for Evangelicals
This year, our family is striving to stay focused on Jesus through this Christmas season by celebrating Advent in our family worship time. For those of you who are interested in doing the same (or simply in learning more about it), check out the blog Advent for Evangelicals. While the author can be a little too accepting of Catholics, she still provides great assistance to those desiring to celebrate our Savior's birth.

Thanks for the link and the comment. Never knew it was a bad thing to be accepting of Catholics. I just have a passion to see Jesus exalted and for His church to serve and worship.
By the way, I'm an evangelical Baptist. No where near Catholic, but I have many wonderful Catholic friends whose passion for Jesus inspires me.
Lindsey,
I am happy to hear that you have a passion to see Jesus exalted and for His church to serve and worship Him. I also really find your advent blog beneficial.
At the same time, how is Jesus glorified? And how does His body worship and serve Him? It is by believing in Him and His redemptive work alone for salvation. To be blunt, the gospel of Jesus Christ as He has revealed in His Word is denied by the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). Since the RCC rejects the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is not a true church nor does their worship glorify God. To see their teaching contrasted with the restoration of the gospel in the Reformation, please see my introductory article: "Martin Luther and Justification."
Of course, this does not mean that we should not have Catholic friends. I do, and love their friendship. At the same time, if they are believing the gospel of the RCC, then they remain alienated from God and need to embrace the biblical gospel.
